In 1995, Niedner celebrated 100 years of continuous operation.  As the oldest manufacturer of fire hose in North America, Niedner can attribute its longevity to the inherent desire and ability to supply the customer with the products they want.

In the early 1980's Niedner pioneered the development of lightweight hose using Desmopan and Encap.  Further improvements to these products in the 1990's led to the development of lightweight E.P.D.M. rubber lined hose and Dalcoat superior protective coating.  The recent introduction of REELTEX, a lightweight rigid reel hose and GLO-TEK a retro-reflective hose, enforces their commitment as a company to producing the lightest, most rugged and durable hoses available on the market today.
