UPF

UPF is a manufacturer of skid units.  The three main skid units include:  The Defender 1, The Defender 2, and The Defender 3.  Below are specifications on the following skid units.

THE DEFENDER 1

The Defender 1 Custom Skid program allows ultimate flexibility in tank design.  This program allows for custom tank and skid design to meet specific needs, including clearance notches, wheel well notches, welded hose trays and storage compartments, Internal Foam Cells and large skid frames and platforms.

The Defender 1 is available in capacities ranging from 100 to 1,000 gallons.  When mounted on an optical custom skid base, the Defender 1 can easily be installed directly into your pickup truck, utility body, or flatbed.  Your vehicle will appreciate the 50% weight savings over steel tanks.

Like all UPF booster and foam tanks, the Defender 1 Custom Skid Tank is fabricated from our exclusive AccTuf copolymer 100% virgin resin from Amoco.  This unique material is 100% U.V. stabilized and stronger than any conventional polymer polypropylene.  It is an FDA certified material for carrying potable water and it is compatible with all types of foam concentrates.

The Defender 1 comes standard with built-in level sight gauge, fill tower, vent pipe, sump, suction and tank fill.  And, like their booster tanks, the Defender 1 Custom Skid Tank is backed by UPF's highly recognized ALL OUT No Fault Life Time warranty, available only from the largest manufacturer of booster and foam tanks in the industry, UPF.

THE DEFENDER 2

The Defender 2 skid unit is an enhanced version of their original modular skid design.  UPF engineers, drawing on the ideas of the Fire Service, created a skid unit that offers flexibility in tank mounting, hose tray placement, and the ability to add options at a later date.  UPF created all this and more in a skid unit that is a cost alternative to a custom designed tank.

The Defender 2 is available in 3 standard capacities:  200, 250 and 300 gallons.  When mounted on the optional half length or full length skid base, the Defender 2 can easily be slid directly into the bed of more than 90% of all pickup truck and utility bodies.  Your vehicle will appreciate the 50% weight savings over steel tanks.

Like all UPF booster and foam tanks, the Defender 2 Standard Model Skid Tank is fabricated from their exclusive AccTuf copolymer 100% virgin resin polyprolylene from Amoco.  This unique material is 100% U.V. stabilized, stronger that any conventional polymer polypropylene.  It is an FDA certified material for carrying potable water and it is compatible with all types of foam concentrates.

THE DEFENDER 3

The all new low cost alternative for your brush fire fighting needs.   The Defender 3 enables you to purchase a budget conscious skid tank without sacrificing the quality commitment you have come to expect from a UPF POLY-TANK IIE.

The Defender 3 is available in 150, 225 and 300 gallon capacity and comes standard with an integrated skid base offering an expanded pump mounting area.  The Defender 3 can easily be slid directly into the bed of most pickup or utility body beds, or on a flatbed.  Your vehicle will appreciate the 50% weight savings over steel tanks.

Like all UPF booster and foam tanks, the Defender 3 Stock Skid Tank is manufactured from our exclusive AccTuf copolymer 100% virgin resin from Amoco.  This unique material is 100% U.V. stabilized, stronger than any conventional polymer polypropylene, compatible with all types of foam concentrates, and FDA certified for carrying potable water.

Standard features include:  built-in level sight gauge, booster reel mounting blocks with sliding nut connections, an internal sump, 3" threaded suction, 1" tank fill, and a full width skid platform with an expanded pump mounting area.   And, like their booster tanks, the Defender 3 Stock Skid Tank is backed by UPF's highly recognized ALL OUT No Fault Lifetime Warranty, another exclusive only available from the largest manufacturer of booster and foam tanks in the industry, UPF.
